Removable Depth Sounder Transducer Replacement?

I'm finishing up the under water work on my Nantucket Island 38 while she's hauled out and one of those projects is to replace the depth sounder transducer, it had some sort of removable transducer with o-rings installed in a bronze sleeve -- I've tried googling replacements but think I either have the terms wrong or no one makes anything like this anymore :-)

Anyone know of where I can find just the plastic transducer piece or what it would be called? Otherwise I can pull the bronze assembly, but I liked the tech of being able to replace the transducer easily as in my experience they break pretty often :-)

Re: Removable Depth Sounder Transducer Replacement?

Airmar pretty much makes the transducers for everyone, and they sell a lot of removable models, as well as thruhulls with gates that make removing them even less of a hassle.

They have manufacturer conversion tables on their website that will tell you which one to get for your depth sounder.

Re: Removable Depth Sounder Transducer Replacement?

Yea I contacted the Airmar distribution people and they said they don't really make them for Garmin electronics, I haven't settled on electronics yet but had Garmin on the last boat that I liked.

They said they make one called the D800-200 but I can't seem to verify that it will work with Garmin or find them available for sale
