Raytheon RL70CRC Radar issue

I'm having a problem with my radar. It will spin 5 times and show all of the targets and land on the screen then nothing for about 20 seconds then show targets for 5 spins and nothing again for 20 seconds. The time transmission is set to off and all of the settings are at factory settings right now. I'm wondering if the scanner is going bad?

The timing is consistent and continuous?

Sure sounds like timed transmission. Maybe toggle the parameter on an off an few times and see if it will set properly (data window on some RM gear has a similar problem...like it forgets).

Sounds to me like a connection issue. Check the cables and connectors. You will likely find some corrosion. Clean thoroughly, remake terminals if necessary, then try again. Unlikely to be the scanner itself if it is transmitting and receiving at all.

You can try a master reset also. If it is a software issue then this may clear it up. I have resolved some other issues this way.
