Raymarine wind sensor 300mm or 600mm

Hi,

I am going to purchase a new raymarine wind transducer to go at the top of the mast on our Hood 38".

The mast I estimate is 50 feet. I see the transducer comes in two versions - on a 300mm arm or a 600mm arm to mount it out in front of the mast.

Which one should I get for a boat of this size?

Cheers

AG

In part, it depends on what other impedimenta you have up there. Windex? Antennae? Tricolor light? Jib Crane? Make a scaled drawing, including turning radius of things that move and some radius for antennae to whip around. You'll see how it all fits. Or doesn't.
I ended up making an extension to move the windex several inches aft of the mast. The "all-around light" is still probably occluded a bit.
