Wow, after all these years this thread has come back to life.
Anderson connectors come in different sizes, They are not very robust and definitely won't handle any dampness. I stand by my post from 2020 - use a four pin twist lock
generator connector. They are way more durable than Anderson powerpoles and are readily available at any major
hardware store or
electrical supply.
A terminal block means that you have to undo four individual wires and connect four others. A twistlock connector takes maybe 10 seconds to swap. I have changed drives in just a few minutes with my wife hand
steering. Or you could heave to. When under way on a long
passage time and simplicity overide any apparent cost saving. If a drive fails it will be in rougher sailing not ghosting along on a mill pond. BTW these connectors are about $10 each.
Again, you need four pins, not three. You cannot share any of the wires from the
clutch and the motor.
