I just crunched the cable from my old
Raymarine 1997 vintage type 100 course computer to my st 7000 control
head in the gears of my
steering quadrant (please don't ask)
I have removed the bad section of wire and spliced it. The splice is good but I am getting no
power to the control
head. Is it possible there is a fuse or something on the CC that could have blown? It's very possible that when the metal
steering gear crunched the cable it shorted across the two small
power cable and the data
cables. I can get the control head to power up with a different
plug but I don't seem to have any power coming from the computer to it. I do have power going INTO the course computer but nothing coming out of the black and red connections to the control head. I have the manual for
installation but nothing that shows a schematic and not mention of a breaker on fuse on board.
