Raymarine Tiller Pilot Plug

I need new plugs, but they're short stocked and stupid expensive ($75-80). I am also tired of proprietary plugs in general.


Several boats ago, I used greased 4-wire flats for mast and outboard wiring, after the factory fittings failed. Never had a fault. I'm considering that. $6 for everything and I know I can get parts anytime.



Any plugs that people particularly like? Perko and Aquasignal have disappointed me. Marinco has a trolling motor plug. This is pretty low amp.

Yes, in fact I was thinking of doing a salt spray chamber test of a bunch of competing products to see how they do (suggestions?). But I'm not sure this is rugged for cockpit use.
