Raymarine ST60 masthead wind instruments

Does anyone know about compatability of new ST60+ masthead units with older Autohelm or Raymarine ST60 instruments? In particular, it would be optimal to install a new masthead unit without replacing the cable -- is the mounting and connector different among different series instruments.

My boat had Autohelm and I have upgraded the gauges to ST60 and ST60+ and the original masthead instrument worked perfectly with these. However, it is at the end of its life and I don't know if it can be rebuilt. A great solution would be to go up the mast once or twice and just install a new unit.

My Masthead ST50 unit even works with my ST40. The wind instruments are not all that complex. Four wires. I would say you are alright.

My question is really about whether a new masthead unit would fit without re-wiring. I think they are electrically close enough, but the connector or mounting may have evolved.
