Raymarine Radar Identification

I bought what I thought was a Raymarine RD418D Radome. Which is puzzling as it has a analogue cable in it? Looking at other RD418D pictures on the net this one does not look like one externally. For one it does not have digital written on the side, secondly it foes not have the digital socket on the side.
So I am baffled to what Radome I actually have as it says it is a RD418D but the analogue cable would make me think it is not?
I have added some photographs internally to see if anyone can see what it may be.
I did a search on Google for internal pictures and there is a few photographs of a RD418D on fccid.io and it looks pretty similar to the internal of my Radome. Click image for larger version

Re: Raymarine Radar Identification

I have now worked it out its the RD218 looking at the inside. Why it has the wrong identification on the bottom will never know.

Re: Raymarine Radar Identification

I found user manual for RD218 scanner unit
As I see, the unit have digital interface.

Because I'm new on cruisersforum, I don't know exactly which way is better for show this manual.

I put it into forum library:

https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...f43f4676bb4490

Look to Page 18, in the manual, and you will find cable pinout.

Re: Raymarine Radar Identification

Raymarine has legacy equipment manuals online on their website. They go back as far as Raytheon days.
