Raymarine i70 and C80 MFD

Hi everybody. First season with this older express cruiser. Has a Raymarine C80 MFD. Thinking I’d like to add an i70 For speed and depth. Since this data is already in my C80, can I plug the i70 directly into the C80 or do I need to build a backbone? Started some research but it’s a little confusing. Figured one of you have already done this. Thanks for the help.

looks like the i70 is both seatalk and seatalkng. but you need an adapter cable to connect it to seatalk which is what you need. it will plug into the seatalk network of the e80. may involve cutting and splicing. depends whats there now.

the e80 is old and uses the older seatalk system.
