Thanks guys. Very confused why Raymarine didn't just mention the ITC-5. I'm going to try that.

Raymarine only makes two wind transducers. They are both analog and the same except one has a longer reach for clearer air for racing. They will work with older analog reading instruments. But to work with I70 or MFD like an e series the signal must be converted to seatalk NG (NMEA 2000) with a ITC-5.

I have an Es78 on board. For wind I have a Northstar Explorer 310W, which has its own display. But the two are connected and my MFD displays the complete wind data, everything you need is right there.

I am also running an eS78 on my boat with my wind instrument running through an ITC5 unit. It displays just fine on my eS78, but I have to use the I70 to calibrate it.
