Question Raymarine C80 Problem with Local Time Offset and GPS Status

Hi all,
My Raymarine C80 with a gold xl9 card for aus works fine but the GPS status page wont read (only blank) and the local time offset wont register rendering the tidal information portals inaccurate. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Roger

Roger, are you getting any information from the GPS? or does it show on the C80 with a cross over the top suggesting it is not responding?

Pete,
The GPS is supplying info and all the plotting features are working. Confusing?

What is your source of GPS data? Is it a SeaTalk GPS module, a dedicated NMEA GPS module, or another GPS feeding the C-80 via NMEA?

The C80 needs a seatalk GPS feed to really function properly ( and display status pages etc)

Any NMEA output GPS device will work fine with C80 subject to correct connection settings, but as goboatingnow says a Raymarine GPS receiver connected via Seatalk is needed to supply data for GPS status page.

Local time offset should work with tide stations though once GPS fix is accepted.

Thanks Richard. read the manual again and still no joy! will get a techy to check the GPS interface as VHF and Mobi alert reading off same GPS. Bit of a mystery as the ST60 repeater reads the satellite status but not the C80. Ah electronics. Cheers to all.
