Raymarine C80 not reading card

Just noticed that my back-up chartplotter Raymarine C80 is no longer reading the Navionics card. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks

Do you have a spare card to try? did it ever work with this card or is the card new?

Have you installed the last update from about 5 years ago? Version 5.16 from memory.

If not then you need a high quality card with a maximum size of 128mb to test it. Cheap cards don't always work, so a spare scandisk or similar quality manufacturer is needed to install v5.16. This update then allows larger cards to be used.

They are getting on a bit now and I wonder how long mine is going to go on for. Still selling for good money in the UK though.

Thanks Pete. Only have 1 Card and it has worked perfectly ok for the 5 years I had this yacht. I don't have a spare card. I can't see how to find what the software version number is, do you know how to find it? Anyway nothing has changed so not sure why not going except that I have removed the card and put it back in. I can't remember if plotter was on or off when I removed card. Not sure if removing card may have caused a problem. I notice that If plotter is on I should use removed card option in set-up. Any ideas?

Cards die all of the time. You can pick up a CF card reader for your computer to test it.
