Raymarine C70 chart plotter and autopilot with analogue radar

Hi

Hoping I am posting my question for assistance correctly. The radar screen comes on the chart plotter but there is no beam moving around in circles. The Raymarine Autopilot does not work but is on. We tried to calibrate the autopilot and did 2.5circles clockwise but no success. Any suggestions would be great.

Which radar model do you have and when did it last work?

which autopilot do you have and again when did it ever work?

Have you fitted anything new since it last worked?

What else is connected to the network, was this recent?

have you altered anything?

Has anyone been allowed to fiddle with it?

You might also focus on just one issue at a time rather than muddling RADAR and AP together...which are unlikely to be related problems.

Not having much to go on but knowing the vintage chart plotter, your autopilot problem could be related to a bad fluxgate compass. A bad compass can cause a number of related problems.

Check the belt on the radar array. My W.A.G. with the limited info.

The Autopilot is a ST6001. We changed the wires around and the autopilot appears to be working. The radar is turning but still does not show the line on the chart plotter. It did work previously when we came on the maiden voyage in 2016. The mast has since been redone. We are consulting the manuals but not sure what to do?
