Those of us with
Raymarine C & E series plotters will have had (or will have) the
weather membrane fail on the Trackpad resulting in the centre portion of the controller coming out. This means your plotter is no longer
weather resistant & it is a pain to use.
Replacement part (R62185) is out if stock world wide - even ebay doesn’t have any! Raymarine/FLIR have told me they have no intention of having more of these manufactured. I feel this is pretty poor customer
service by Raymarine/FLIR considering these units are less than 10 years old.
So trying to locate a
repair solution or aftermarket fix.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
And yes, I have considered tossing out my
Raymarine components, but with 3 plotters, an
autopilot, 6 I70’s plus other components this isn’t a
cheap solution.... lots of
boat units....
