Raymarine Axiom iPad

Hi Guys

Just installed Axiom MFD's on my boat and am attempting to figure out how to connect them to my iPad using the raymarine apps. Any body done this or is it possible? You can do this on the last generation of raymarine mfds so I presume it is possible on the new setup but can't figure out how.....Would have called Raymarine but it's the weekend.
Any help appreciated.

I searched through both manuals for 2 hours and couldn't find out how either. Do you have the 7, 9, or 12" model?

I just googled Raymarine Axiom wifi to IPad. There is supposed to be
An app update that will control it from your IPad. Check the Raymarine Apps

Re: Raymarine Axiom iPad

I've got a pair of the 7 inch models, the plan is to use the one at the chart table as a slave to a 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I suspect that I'm going to go through the pain of the early adopter. The best bit so far has been the easy integration with the vesper 8000, truly plug and play. I'll come back with an update when I've spoken to the Raymarine tech guys. The quantum radar is also proving to be the business.

I didn't think they could be slaves to an iPad. I would have thought the iPad would have to be the slave and the Axiom the master, no?

Re: Raymarine Axiom iPad

The news on iPad integration is that there will be a software update in July that will sort this, hopefully it will also give me the 'ruler' that's missing.

Re: Raymarine Axiom iPad

Raymarine official statements to date just say "its a priority and coming soon",
Ive not seen any statement about July (but as a disillusioned new axiom user, would be DELIGHTED if this was true)

Indeed at present Ive not been able to find any statement from raymarine
About next SW release for LH3 .

The list of "missing" features (as compared to LH2) is sooooo looongg
I fear its going to be a 6-12 months before parity is achieved..

Meanwhile raymarine are being very obtuse about commitments to
"What and when" ...

Re: Raymarine Axiom iPad

I was looking at the Axiom but went with the hybridtouch eS78. I have the vesper watchmate and intend to integrate with the new plotter. Good to hear that the 8000 worked well on the axiom. Did you connect through wifi or use a cable.

Re: Raymarine Axiom iPad

Cable into the seatalk ng network. Overall the Axiom most definitely a work in progress and is behind its predecessor in software development. However, I wish to keep the electronics current and this seems the best route long term. I had the first of the c series on the last boat and was happy with it, on this boat I had the predecessor to the c series and although it was only 12 months older was a world away and had to go.
