Raymarine autopilot EV100 reset to factory

Have a new EV100 installed few months ago.
having problems, their site recommends to re-set to factory and re-start the sequence menu-etc.

Has anybody done it and worked out as easy as described?

Yes - I've done it after doing some mods to the electronics. Just have to go through the commissioning process, no big deal.
