Pactor 4

Has anyone used the new unit? Any feedback (yes, I know it is faster)?

Re: Pactor 4

I've installed two DR-7800 units. Easy. P3 seems faster than P3 on a PTC-IIpro. P4 is great. Nice box. What else do you want to know?

Re: Pactor 4

Any quantitative speed tests? (P3 vs P4).

Also are they still doing the same old trick of selling the modem with a temporary license for P4 (like 30 days or something) and then hitting you with a full license fee?

Cheers,
Mike

Re: Pactor 4

The 7800 and 7400 have full P4 licenses. No expiration. I didn't do any deterministic testing. P3 on a 7800 is faster than P3 on a IIpro. P4 is darn fast. I'm really close to buying a 7400 for myself. Want to buy a IIpro? *grin*

Re: Pactor 4

Hi, just bought a P4 and 802. Should be installed in next couple of weeks. Since this is our first set up I won't have a reference to compare the speed to but am looking forward to using the set up. I am confused about the license reference. Please elaborate.
