Onboard wiring question

We recently bought an S2 9.2A in the Chesapeake Bay area and are working through the kinks of the boat. It appears that a previous owner had some fairly involved electronics running to the binnacle from the nav station at one point and I'd like to figure out how he likely set it up. There is a four-pin female wire coming out of the compass. There's a B&G windspeed indicator by the transom. Two wires in the back that aren't connected to anything, one's frayed, the other is a five-pin female wire that is one of three wires plugged into the back of the windspeed indicator (pictured). I've included photographs to show these.

Anyone have any ideas? The boat doesn't have a GPS aerial that I can see. Any thoughts would be helpful.

That first connector looks exactly like the one for a Garmin handheld, like a 295 or 6 or a 396, but out of the compass?

It is the power wire for a Garmin handheld, may of course be for other things as well, often times manufacturers pick already existing connectors

Why not ask the PO or the broker to ask the PO?
Disk like devices under a compass are sensors for an autopilot that either go directly to the autopilot or via the control device.

If that's the case that would make sense. There was also a mount on the binnacle for a handheld GPS but it didn't fit anything we had so we dismantled it. Thanks for the input!

My concern now is what the other stuff hooks up to.
