Sheesh....... When we bought silver girl (44 islander) she still had a
loran unit installed . The
boat came with a lowrance lms337cdf teensie lil chart plotter , that was brand new in the box. Old , but never installed. There was already an lgc2000
gps antennae mounted on the stern rail , and the wires pulled forward , that had never been connected to anything. I removed the ol
loran , and decided to go ahead and hook up the lil lowrance unit , just because it was free. Hooked it up , and it worked , so I spent the $200.00 for a avionics chart for it. I have only had it hooked up for about 3weeks , and haven't even taken the
boat out with it. Got here today , turned on the unit , and have a
gps not responding
alarm. Tried powering off , did a hard reset , nothing makes any difference. No return on the avionics
charts. Sure don't think I want to spend another $200.00 for a new gps antennae , if the thing is going to be that trustworthy
