Doubt we'll get to Panama anytime soon but if we do I will borrow that metal detector. Gold Doubloons, yes? Chuck

It's good here... all the gold they robbed from Peru came over land to a couple of places on the Caribbean coast of Panama. The Rio Chagres here is sometimes called Rio d'Oro but when I prepared to take the metal detector to Fort San Lorenzo at the entrance of the Chagres, I read that thousands of metal detectors have already been there... and took hundreds of silver coins!! so, I didn't go there. Next thing I know is a bunch of people hauling up the canons of Henry Morgan's ships right there in front of San Lorenzo. Bronze ones grrrr... all I found until now is garbage and unidentified pieces of aluminium from ammunition or airplane parts...

ciao!
Nick.
