No sound from CommandmicII

...sound only comes out from base unit!
i.e. I can power it on, change channels, raise and lower volume, etc.
I can hear it from the cabin below, but no sound comes out of the handheld unit.

I opened it up and checked for loose wire(s) to speaker, no joy... looks like it's solidly soldered in place.

That's as far as my electronics knowledge goes ;-)

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Re: No sound from CommandmicII

don't know about CM II, but the connector on our older CM is really a poor design, and ours has given us symptoms similar to what you describe. So, if you haven't done so already, carefully examine the connection at t he end of the mike cable.

Re: No sound from CommandmicII

Thanks Jim - I have checked the connector... as best I can.
Don't see any obvious issues there either - no visible corrosion, no bent pins... nada!

Real mystery - Will probably pull the connector tomorrow morning and check the wiring, but that's just grasping at straws!
