My advice was free. You're on your own from here.

So you aren't going to support your claim of 13 used i3 nucs for sale right now?

No. I'm not going to offer someone who just wants to argue any further advice.

But I will await your review of how your beeline TV box compares to your i3 laptop.

Me argue?
You were the one making the bold claims unable to back those claims up.

I can tell you right now that the i3 laptop would be better, not that it matters as you rubbished that idea as well

Re: NEW Opencpn mini pc using Linux mint

Geez guys, relax.

For the record, I have a $297 new laptop and it is not very good. It was bought for a purpose and meets that purpose but it is very limiting and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The Beelink is better, not a lot, but definitely better, and at $200 it was very good value. It runs Netflix etc very well, which is what I bought it for, plus spreadsheets and a few basic programming tools I use in teaching.

It’s the old story. You get what you pay for, most of the time. My last workstation cost AU$13K and it was perfect for the job it did. But I no longer need that kind of power so the $200 Beelink is just fine.

Pulling the trigger on the Beelink.

Benchmark websites rate the intel j3355 CPU as better, stronger, faster than the AMD m120 CPU that the laptop I currently have uses and that laptop does everything I want just fine

http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/733...ron_J3355.html

Gear best have it on sale for $175.

Also any decent hdmi stick PC will do the trick. There are Windows and Linux versions and I have seen Android ones too. They plug into the back of any hdmi able monitor.

For less than USD 200 you can have a 100% viable and powerful plotter / media station. Less than 100 USD if you buy from Salvation Army counter.

Cheers,
b.
