Geez guys, relax.
For the
record, I have a $297 new laptop and it is not very good. It was bought for a purpose and meets that purpose but it is very limiting and I would not recommend it to anyone.
The Beelink is better, not a lot, but definitely better, and at $200 it was very good value. It runs Netflix etc very well, which is what I bought it for, plus spreadsheets and a few basic programming tools I use in teaching.
It’s the old story. You get what you pay for, most of the time. My last workstation cost AU$13K and it was perfect for the job it did. But I no longer need that kind of
power so the $200 Beelink is just fine.
