Got an ASUS T100 w/ Win8 a few months ago from Best Buy for ~$350 keyboard and MS-Office included and it's working pretty well. 11hrs battery life w/ an Atom processor. No serial port, but Micro HDMI, SD, and USB. 32gb plus 32gb SD. Charges with basic micro USB cigarette lighter power converter. There's no GPS chip onboard so I use a GlobalSat USB GPS receiver.
