We have an AMPAir 100
wind generator that we recently repaired on a new-to-us
boat. The
generator is now spinning, and there is about 36V output from the
generator on a windy day, but there is no output from the controller. The circuit board and components are completely painted over, so
repair will be difficult. The generator has a couple sets of diodes to rectify inside the generator, so the output I presume is a rectified sine wave. Can anyone recommend a controller/regulator that will
work for this? The other
wind generator regulators I’ve seen appear to take 3-phase input, but that won’t
work here. Any thoughts? Thanks
