Navionics app on Nexus 10

When I got my new nexus 10 tablet, I was excited to see the Navionics app on it's beautiful display. Unfortunately it ran very poorly and would often crash shortly after booting up. For $35 this was clearly unacceptable, so I returned it. I am wondering if anyone else with this same tablet has tried the app? It is my hope that there have been updates to improve it, but I am afraid to download it again until I hear of a success story. I believe you can only return an app once on the Play Store for a refund.
