Navicom RT-550 vhs/ais with B&G Zeus7

Hi! Any tips, how I can connect Navicom RT 550 (only nmea 0183) vhf and B&G Zeus 7 (nmea 0183/2000)chartplotter? Anyone already tried?

The VHF receives now gps´s signal (nmea0183) from the plotter, but plotter is not responding to ais data. AIS output should display on plotter. I don´t have a splitter.

(Btw. B&G plotters are similar with many Simrad plotters.)

Yellow nmea in +
Green nmea in -
Orange nmea out +
Bare nmea out -
Blue nmea out + (ais)
Grey nmea out - (ais)

my guess would be both your plotter and vhf at at 4800baud. you need to make them both 38,400. but I'm not familiar with that vhf, only the SH.


you may need 2 ports with this radio. one at 4800 and one at 38,400, in which case it won't work because the zeus only has 1. the SH radios fixed that on the newer models.
