That disqualifies Garmin then, too. I don't have any newer Navico stuff, so I don't know which company is worse. I do have some old Furuno gear which is way out of support but they've actually gone out of their way to help out anyway.

Thanks. But this is secure shell/telnet utility, right? How is that connected with the subject of this post? Are you posting in the thread you intended to?

Depending on the version of windows telnet may/may not be available. YOu might need to install a telnet client...

If you note, Ohgary recommended that you test your port with a telnet session. Ohgary also, in the last sentence, stated that if you do not have telnet available, one can use a third party client. Hense... Putty. That is why I recommended Putty. It does a lot of things.

My GoFree with Zeus2 won't connect to android but connects to iphone/ipad automatically. Thats with 18.3. update. It was unreliable on 18.2. (for android)
Would putty help with that?
