Re: JRC 1000 Radar - Any Good ?

Had a JRC1000 MK11 from new no problems until last weekend when display functioning perfectly and scanner is rotating however no image being transmitted
I have been told no parts available any more and I have found it very difficult to even get a technician to look at it. I am in The Bay Of Islands New Zealand

Re: JRC 1000 Radar - Any Good ?

I have now decided to completely toss my JRC 1500. At this point to get it working I need a new magnetron and to rebuild the power wiring on the electronics. Problem #1 is no available Magnetron. If anyone has unused spare M1516 I will buy it and pay to ship it. Otherwise I soon an going to buy a new style Broadband Radar since they claim to be able to see small objects up closely. 95% of vessels in my area are small wooden fishing vessels with only a blinking light at best.

Again anyone with spare M1516 give me a shout.
