JCR 1000/1500 compatibility

Does anyone know if JRC 1500 display unit is compatible with JRC1000?

I currently have JRC1000 unit. I found a functional JRC1500 display unit for 150$. I am tempted to have it as a spare but was wondering if I could just swap the display units without having to get the new scanner.

Comparing the manuals, I see that JRC1500 has a larger scanner and is rated for is 2kW where as the scanner for JRC1000 is rated for 1.5kW. Other then that, everything else is the same including the connector pinouts.
