Isatphone2 Weather

Does anyone have actual offshore experience with getting weather information using the Isatphone2?

Some vendors say that it's "easy" and "simple" to do with a little bit of hardware and a couple apps. But is it really that simple?

I'm not asking about Iridium GO or other Iridium stuff. This question is about the Inmarsat Isatphone2.
