So I'm going to keep it despite having satmodem now. Thermal paper is still available. It has its own aerial.
If the printer ever becomes unworkable a mono mic or aux cable into your microphone jack will put it on your pc using software like JVComm32 i think. I had a switch that took the sound from the speaker cable in the wifi to the aux cable into the laptop. I dont have that boat now unfortunately.
