Is this Raymarine speedo a goner?

hello can anyone advise.
first boat and just fixing her up.
There are three raymarine instruments ST60 with covers in the cockpit.
Heavy rain and two cyclones recently and the speed one now has a large dark area in the centre - cannot read numbers easily. The outdoor (waterproof) GPS is irredeemably damaged in the storm and maybe this is too.
Is it dead? We are in Sauvsavu fiji and haven't found a marine electronics person yet.
Commentary and suggestions on what to do welcomed.
Also, anyone know what the autohelm reference is on these. ??
thanks

i have a photo but cant figure how to post it
