If you mean like the latter posts with the sand cast arm, I just went to WM and physically touched one. It's nice, but too bulky for my purposes.

You can also make one out of plywood or composites.

It is like the one in the first photo of this post. It is very heavy duty and nicely polished unit but definitely not cast.

I have one like that I'am not using, had my radar on it and then went to a 12" mfd. it needs a tack weld re-done, a simple 5 minute fix for a shop with a heliarc welder. I had it at my lower helm and liked it because the display could be swung around out of the way when not needed. Not sure I want to get rid of it, I'll have to decide whether I'am going to use it or not as I'am in the middle of upgrading electronics and really haven't thought how I'am going on the upper helm.
