Is it possible to display a Garmin 742xs screen on a laptop

Hello,

I recently purchased a Garmin 742xs and am considering adding radar.

I have a 17 inch laptop that, if possible, I would like to use as the display, but can't really determine from the users manual whether I can do this (I'm not that technical).

It appears I can link my phone and/or tablet via Active Captain, but it doesn't say anything about setting up a laptop to use as a display.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not aware of any standard Garmin means of doing so, but that doesn’t mean third party software doesn’t exist...

point a video camera at the garmin and watch the camera on laptop?....

no I'm pretty sure there is not.

the bigger garmins have video outputs but I doubt any laptops have video inputs.


maybe there is PC software that emulates a tablet?
