Iridium Phone use with Airmail

I am trying to connect my Iridium phone to my computer to use with Airmail. It worked perfectly with my old computer (windows XP) but when I try to set up the 19200 standard modem driver on my new computer (windows 7) it does not show any available ports. I have tried disabling the Windows firewall but this doesn't help.

Any ideas?

ahhh the problem is the driver may not be compatable with win 7. email iridium to see if they have a win 7 driver.

It worked for me when I got a Windows 7 pc recently. As you have done, I just installed a standard 19200 modem driver. Unfortunately I'm now separated from my Iridium phone by 3000 miles so I can't check the configuration, but, don't worry, it will work eventually!

I found the problem. The Iridium phone is connected to the computer by a USB to Serial cable. The driver for this cable was not compatable with Windows 7. I downloaded a new driver from the cable company's site and it works. Thanks for the help!
