Hi, I'm interested to know, while Coastal cruising how do you go with Laptop connectivity? Cheers...

I used to use a WiFi booster to hit land based routers. Since the prevalence of LTE is almost universal where I cruise, I added a cell phone booster and tether to my cell phone. There are some distance limits (especially with TDMA), but usually I can get signal up to 15-20 miles offshore. Of course when I get down off Cape Sabal, there is nothing but satellite, as there is no cellular or WiFi

Not too much mobile coverage north or south of Cairns. Telstra provides the best coverage, but even they are very limited.
