Interfacing a tiller pilot with chartplotter

Hi, folks,
I've recently installed a RayMarine st2000 tiller pilot, and am shopping for a chartplotter. Of course, I'd like for them to talk to each other.

The chartplotter I am thinking about is the Standard Horizon CP 390.

Does anyone have any specific experience in getting these two devices to work well together?

you should be able to connect to almost any plotter with nmea183. a few new plotters don't have 183 anymore though.

You may have to go with the X5 pilot or whatever the current system is. These pilots have separate brain and control modules, the same as the wheel pilot, so should be easy to interface with a plotter.
