That worked, thank you Sherrill and Paul, but for anyone who comes across this thread I will add one minor correction:

Step 5 refers to the menu item “MSI Code” in the text instructions, however it should say “MSI Check” as this is the actual text of the menu, which is actually shown in the graphic.

So, technically, Icom STILL have not got their instructions right.
