ICOM M801E MMSI Reprogramming

While my boat's MMSI hasn't changed, I just checked and see that they incorrectly entered one digit of the MMSI and wanted to know if anyone here knows the manual reprogramming codes for this unit?

There aren't any codes. It must be done using a computer running the field programming software for the unit. You will have to return it to the dealer or Icom.

At least with the m802 you can program a number in twice before having to send it in.

Hi Eric,
I saw several time your name regarding the Icom801 stuff...so my question.

I have installed on my sailboat an Icom801 and asked to the dealer in France to unlock it for the ham bands.
Unfortunetely I just pnly tested my sailmail connection ( via a pactor and it worked fine).
but I'm not able to xmit on ham bands. I only able to rx.
Any suggestion??? I'm now located in Las Palmas (Grand Canaria)
