iCom IC-M700/F SSB

Does anyone know anything about the iCom IC-M700/F SSB? It came with the boat that I purchased and I can't find a manual anywhere and unlike SSBs I'm used to, this one doesn't seem to have matched transmission and receiving frequencies. Rather than one dial that says A, B, C and D, it has two that have the numbers 1-12.

I have seen them for sale installed on other boats but I can't find anyone who knows anything about them. This appears to be a completely different unit than the M700.

It would be helpful just to know what the /F signified!

I just obtained one of these, too. It's got an audio amp problem, so I sent it to a techie for repair.

I can't find the instruction manuals for it anywhere. In one posting on QSL.net, someone said it's the same as the M700TY. It's not...I found the service manual for the TY, and it has the usual 700 setup of ABC and 123...

Mine was working, just low audio output. The left hand dial is for the transmit frequency, and the right hand dial is for the receive frequency. You have to program each. Insofar as I can tell, the set does not have LSB, so it would be useless on the lower ham bands.

Have no idea what the "/F" signifies.

In my memory, you have to register, and you can dowload only one file a day.
There is a way to open the transceiver on all band, if you are a Ham;

Thanks, but the manual we're looking for is for the M-700/F which is different than the M-700 and the M-700/TY.

I haven't been able to find this yet, either on mods.dk or any other site. Already have the M700 and M700/TY manuals.

I undestand now.
I have also a M700/F together AT-120E.
My user guide is in French, but if you want i can scan it and send to you by mail. (for M700/F & AT-120E
The /F model is different i suppose with the direct emergency call on 2182, an the AT-120E has also direct tuning on this frequecy.
If you can read French, it will be a pleasure to scan and mail these manuals.
