Icom IC-M605 turns on automatically

I just installed a new Icom IC-M605 VHF radio after our 506 died. Everything works fine except that after I turn it off by holding down the power button for 1second like the manual says to do it will turn itself back on after a while. I am trying to capture how long it is but it does not seem to be a fixed time. Currently at 21 minutes and counting. I cannot find any configuration that would cause this.

Is something cutting off power to the radio and then turning it back on? That could cause it. Although if that was the case you probably would have seen the same thing on your old radio unless it had a physical power switch.

Many modern radios with electronic turn on turn off can be very sensitive to spikes on the power line

Add some ferrites etc
