Icom 802 Reception

Recently installed an Icom 802 in my Liberty 28. Left the USA a couple of months ago and have just finished the install. Should i be receiving the BBC and PNR ECT channels in Isla Majeres Mexico?

I have had no trouble receiving the US CG weather reports.

Not been to Mexico but I do receive BBC in US and Caribbean.

A friend of mine is in Brazil, around the Mar del Plata (sp?) region and gets the BBC on his 801 (the same but European wavelengths without ham frequencies)
