I am in phone sales, under sail if possible?

Trying to convince my bride of a life on the high seas. So far not even close. If I could continue my work on the waves, that might help my cause. I help folks find businesses (mostly Franchises) to own. All my work is on the phone.
If I was in the Caribbean, could I communicate by cell phone with clients in the States? It couldn't be sometimes, it would need to be solid like Verizon solid. I was actually in the Abaco's recently but turned my phone, off. Wasn't thinking life on the water at the time, was enjoying a charter. Is anyone doing phone biz out there?
