How to get True windspeed on an advanSea anologue wind instrument.

I'm trying to figure out how to connect my advanSea WIND-a wind speed/direction instrument to an older NMEA 183 set of Raytheon Marine ST-40 instruments (speed and log instrument and a separate depth instrument) so I can determine true winspeed and true wind direction. Since both instruments are NMEA 183, I'm thinking it's possible. The raytheon instruments are connected together with a daisy chain harness. The advanSea wind instrument has a shielded bundle of 6 colored wires coming out of it plus the wire bundle to the anerometer on the top of the mast. Can't find anything on line but I'm not good with electronic lingo. Thanks.

Raymarine st40 (stXX) devices are Seatalk, NOT NMEA0183. To make your Advansea compatible, you need a Seatalk - NMEA0183 converter.

OK, thanks. I'll research that clue. I didn't know sea-talk was different from nmea183.
