how to change internal battery on garmin 128

I just learned recently when one died that there were batteries inside Garmin GPS antennas. Who knew ?

and now you need a Serial to USB Cable - the Serial is a DB9. Lots on eBay like

You could try OpenCPN as a Chart Plotter, the help is very useful.

Raymarine didn't in 2007 until I and a friend who worked for RM, took one apart as mine was failing. We gave them this picture so RM staff would know for the future.
