My Commandmic IV, compatible with the
VHF M424 & M506, has stopped working. I have no idea of how to troubleshoot. Called tech support and they also had no suggestions, with 1 lone exception. If I could find a store that
sold either
VHF, I could possibly take my mic to them and see if it worked on their
radio. Great idea, but I can find no one who has one in stock.
My plan B is to see if I could find another boater who might have the same mic and let me
plug my mic into their system. If my mic doesn’t
work, tech support will allow me to send my unit to them for repair/replacement, but I have to know that it is the mic and not something else.
So…might there be someone within about 25 miles of
Annapolis MD, that has a Commandmic IV, that would allow me to try my mic on your system? I’m trying to get the issue resolved before heading south in mid Oct.
