Help with Captn's Log computer issues

My computer took a dump and I had to buy a new PC. The computer shop was able to remove data from the old hard drive, but not programs. So I re-installed the program but the data stored via "Captn's Log" on the old pc is no where to be found, at least by me.
I have used the program for many years for maint., trip reports, etc. etc.. So any ideas where the data may have been stored or suggestions for the retrevial of the info.
I did keep the hard drive from the old one
