Hi,
friends of ours have been so kind to give us their old "
Heart-Interface Freedom 20 Inverter" as they replaced it with a new
Victron inverter/charger.
We will only use it as inverter and not as charger as it does not have the proper charging characteristics for our LiFePo4 batteries. Those are charged fully by the big solar panels.
So far we only have a very small
inverter and are on a low
budget so the larger inverter is therefore welcome.
Its a modified sine wave inverter and works well, but, they warned us that they had "burned" an
electric toothbrush
charger and a powertool charger. Our
current small inverter does the same.
Probably because it is a modified sine and not true sine wave unit.
Anyway, it produces 2000VA permanently and 4500VA for up to 15seconds.
So, much more than the old unit.
Now here is the main question:
Does anyone have one of these Heart-Interface units and uses it to power a 26" flatscreen computer monitor with it?
The reason I ask is that our old one could not do this and I am not sure if its just to small or because of the type of sine wave.
We are not at the
boat right now and would like to know this before going back.
Thanks for your input!
Here is the manual for the unit:
