Has anyone got feedback on KTI EPIRBs?

I'm looking at EPIRBs. I've been in touch with KTI in Australia, who say they can program their unit with a Canadian code, without a problem. It looks like a good deal. The selling features are a 10 year warranty and battery life (Double ACR and McMurdo) and once triggered it has a three day bat life compared to two with ACR/McMurdo and it's $200ish less. Anyone have any experience with this unit?

No, but I have spoken with one of the principals about 6 months back and I was impressed with their units. They seem to be progressive in the design department and the GPS position is transmitted every 5 minutes IIRC.

That plus the 3 day battery life seems good.

If I was in the market today, I would seriously consider it.
