Word of caution....

Technician class won't give you the privileges you need for HF voice work, other than on the 10 meter band.

I already have a fairly good head for electronics specifically radar. I've already downloaded the question list. I mostly need the rules and regs stuff.

Any advice?
I would download the question list for both the Technical and General test in Microsoft Word Format. Then erase the wrong answers from the document leaving only the correct ones by hand. Print that sucker out.

Technical pool
General pool

Every test uses the exact wording for the question and the answer, so why not keep it simple just learn the correct answer right? You can learn the theory later and there's plenty time to on a boat right?

Learn the Technical pool first, then try and memorize General. Take the Technical first, then if you pass you can take the General for FREE right after in most cases and be upgraded right there. Whammo welcome to HF.

No one has mentioned "The ARRL Operating Manual". A must IMHO in order to get the most out of operating your radio.
